bud light seltzer has a great product and a world famous brand, but what good is that when you’re getting out-memed by your competitors? when a certain other seltzer brand threatened to shut down memers on instagram, bud light embraced them. in fact, we went searching for someone with the very specific set of skills to be bud light seltzer’s first ever cmo (chief meme officer).
we created a real, actual job (taxes included!) at ab-inbev, the world’s largest brewer, and released templates and brand assets onto social media for fans to apply by showing us their unique talents. in the end, one was hired to lead a campaign of their own with the bls team.
